Description

The Benin Entrepreneurship Support Project (PAEB) is a program implemented by a consortium coordinated by MPMEPE and ADPME, with technical assistance from Expertise France and funding from the French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Union. It aims to strengthen the provision of support services (technical and financial) for Beninese MSMEs and improve the institutional environment for inclusive and sustainable growth entrepreneurship. The program supports the structuring of financial and non-financial services for businesses, support for high-potential start-ups and SMEs, and capacity building for actors in the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Objectives

• Strengthening the institutional ecosystem for entrepreneurship Establish coordinated governance and mechanisms to effectively guide entrepreneurs toward the right structures and strengthen the capacity of public and private institutions that support MSMEs. • Strengthen the local economy and encourage youth entrepreneurship Supporting the creation and growth of young companies, particularly those led by young people and women, and facilitating their access to financial and non-financial services. • Strengthening the competitiveness of high-potential companies Support existing SMEs with strong growth potential to become “national champions,” improving their modernization, market access, and overall performance. • Promoting inclusive, sustainable entrepreneurship that generates local added value Integrate gender, climate, and environmental issues into support mechanisms, ensuring that the services offered to businesses promote job creation, formalization, and increased local value.
