Description

The ECOTEC project aims to support job creation and economic transformation in Burkina Faso by strengthening MSMEs' access to finance, technology, and markets, and by providing a better-trained workforce. It is therefore a multi-sectoral project, specifically targeting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), vocational training, technology adoption, and the business environment.

Objectives

• Improve MSME access to finance and technology The project aims to facilitate access for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to credit, guarantees, investments, and the adoption of modern technologies, particularly within a green economy and innovation framework. • Develop a productive and entrepreneurial workforce The project intends to train students, learners, trainers, and entrepreneurs to create a workforce adapted to the needs of businesses and the modern economy. • Strengthen the enabling environment for MSME development Through institutional reforms, support for public-private partnerships, value chains, and industrial clusters, the project seeks to improve the business climate in Burkina Faso. • Promote the adoption of green technologies, innovation, and economic resilience The project includes a transition component focused on sustainable practices: circular economy, green technologies, and adaptation to security and climate challenges, in order to make the economy more resilient.
