Description

The Agribusiness and Public Finance Support Program (PAAFIP) is a two-phase general budget support initiative designed to support the implementation of the Togo 2025 Government Roadmap. It addresses two structural challenges: firstly, the expansion of agribusiness as an engine of inclusive growth, and secondly, the consolidation of public finance reforms for more efficient and gender-sensitive management of state resources. It also incorporates a climate finance component, with dedicated adaptation funds.

Objectives

• Land Tenure Security and Agribusiness Contribute to securing and enhancing the value of rural land ownership in order to expand the agribusiness sector as a pillar of inclusive growth in Togo. • Public Finance Reforms Continue and consolidate reforms aimed at the efficient and optimal management of public resources, particularly through increased tax revenue and the modernization of treasury management. • Gender Promotion Improve the integration of gender considerations into public policies (Gender-Responsive Budgeting - GRB) and women's access to land ownership. • Climate Resilience Contribute to climate finance by supporting adaptation measures integrated into the agribusiness sector.
