Description

The PEAC aims to strengthen the technical and entrepreneurial capacities necessary to support industrialization focused on Cameroon's key sectors. The project combines capital investment (infrastructure and training equipment), skills training (TVET), entrepreneurship support (incubation, kits, financial assistance for startups/MSMEs), and institutional strengthening (quality assurance systems, training governance, public-private coordination). Its intervention strategy is based on several independent pillars: improving the quality and employability of the workforce, increasing the competitiveness of user companies, and promoting job creation through entrepreneurship and industrial upgrading.

Objectives

• Strengthen training opportunities Increase the capacity of the national vocational training system (TVET) by modernizing the infrastructure and equipment of 7 training centers (including 5 MINEFOP centers). • Develop in-demand skills Ensure that training aligns with business needs by creating or strengthening 124 high-employability specializations in priority sectors. • Promote entrepreneurship Provide technical and financial support to young people and women for project development, particularly green and climate-sensitive projects. • Increase employment and competitiveness Create decent jobs and improve business productivity by providing a higher-quality workforce and supporting the upgrading of 250 businesses.
