Description

The PDEA is a large-scale government initiative aimed at transforming Cameroonian aquaculture from a subsistence activity to a profitable and sustainable commercial sector. Its intervention strategy is based on an "Incubation-Integration" model. It identifies project leaders, primarily young people and women, provides them with technical and economic training in dedicated facilities, and then finances their establishment as modern aquaculture entrepreneurs.

Objectives

• Improved Productivity Increase aquaculture production through better access to inputs and appropriate technical practices. • Entrepreneurship Development Strengthen viable aquaculture businesses along the value chain (processing, marketing). • Social Inclusion Promote access for women and youth to income-generating activities in aquaculture. • Capacity Building Professionalize stakeholders through advanced technical training and financial literacy.
