PADAER II is an integrated rural development program that aims to sustainably transform family farming and entrepreneurship in its intervention areas. Its intervention strategy is based on modernizing production systems (water management, access to inputs), structuring value chains (contracting, processing), and promoting entrepreneurship for young people and women, in order to shift from a subsistence-based approach to a market-oriented one.

Objectives

• Improve food security Sustainably increase agricultural and livestock production and productivity for small-scale producers. • Create jobs Generate sustainable and remunerative employment, specifically for young people and women in rural areas. • Increase incomes Improve rural incomes through better value creation and marketing of products. • Strengthen resilience Increase the resilience of production systems to climate change.
